     A short 3D platformer style game with a math puzzle. Where the player needs to collect the right key somewhere on the map with some obstacles and dangers to complete the math equation and exit the Dungeon.

My experience

    Was a great project to start to learn how to make a character controller in Unity like a 3D platformer style like (Super Mario World 3D and Overcooked). Doing the character rotates to the direction that the character is walking was something that I had never done before and I liked the result. Also creating the animations of the character model in Unity from scratch was pretty cool.

    Making the character controller stills fixed in a moving platform was something great to learn, the traps, damage feedback, death animation, and some particle effects that I have done were peaceful work.

    The math puzzle was a great way to study how to perform interactions between objects and also with the player, like grab and place. Also how to generate random values and math account resolutions as a puzzle.

Mechanics/Features

• 3D Character controller implemented with animations

• NPC system which when pressing the E key a dialog balloon appears for the player

• Menus, life bar and exit options (from game to menu)

• Damage control system through “traps” and abyss

• Sound effects system (when taking damage, opening a door, etc)

• A random math equation that needs a correct awnser to be resolved

Main Proposal

     The main proposal to the developed game it is of stimulating basic math accounts through fun gameplay that does that the target audience does not feel like it is doing boring homework, but actually casually having fun, with that the children not realize that they are learning about math at all (flow theory from Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi).

The Game: Masmorra Matemática

     Main gameplay loop: In the control of a intelligent wizard, take all the necessary keys and resolve the puzzle using the power of the knowledge! Think about the numbers and figure out what is the correct resolution. But be aware, the keys are not so easy to reach out, there are a lot of traps, and the wizard it is not so strong.
